Easter layout

Did everyone have a good Easter?
Ours was so great! House full of family, campfires in the backyard at night, glorious weather, picnics in the paddock, hopscotch tournaments and truckloads of choccy.....blissful!
Took 151 photos in all! Fit 9 of them in this double page spread about our favourite tradition - the backyard Egg Hunt. Fun, fun, fun!!!

Crazy for Doubles!

I've been reading Pip Prosser's blog, and her gorgeous fabulous funky work has inspired me to get back into doing double page layouts.

I used to be really big on doubles....I wonder what happened? With all my squillions of photos I have to scrap, I definitely need to start doing a them a lot more!

Pixel Chix Chick is about Bethany's latest purchase (she is such a good saver - no idea where she gets that from.....LOL). She was extremely excited to have saved up enough pocket money to buy the Pixel Chix 2-Storey House.

"Pop's Girl" is the result of last week's Step-by-step Challenge over at ScrapWitch (check out the link over there on the right....).
Jill (SW's esteemed boss lady) gives one step each day of the week. If you're intrigued by the idea of giving up complete control of your layout, and don't mind having the makings of a page spread on your desk for a whole week, then give it a go!
You never know where the steps will take you - a great recipe for creative interpretation and trying new ideas!
And although we all follow the same steps, such a variety of looks are created!
Materials I used: Scenic Route Loveland paper, My Minds Eye Signature Life paper and tag, Making Memories Ledger Text paper, Green Tara flowers, crocheted flower from Spotlight, KI Memories Hip Chip letters used as templates, vintage paper lace, buttons and embroidery thread, staples, pink Zig Writer.

I LOVE THIS LAYOUT!!!

Do you? I created it in one of Kim Archer's online classes yesterday! Kim is so lovely and ultra-talented too. I have loved her work for like....years!!! So bright and funky.
Thankyou so much Kim - I'll definitely be popping back into Kim Archer @ Home again soon!

Workshop pics!!!

Apologise for the terrible quality of these pics. I took them with my mobile - cos I forgot my camera.....AGAIN! Trust me, in real life these ladies are beautiful! LOL!

What's more, they created some gorgeous pages.............

Grungeboard Workshop

What fun! I had a ball last Wednesday teaching this layout to my group of 15 lovely ladies. We even had a complete scrapping newbie, and her page was amazing (yay Jenny!) .......the beginnings of another addict perhaps........??

Chris was the lucky winner of a full pack of Grungeboard Elements.....I'm sure she'll get heaps of enjoyment from them!

Love the way everyone's page ended up looking so completely different. Everyone had their choice of 3 or 4 grungeboard pieces from the Elements pack to suit their photos - and there is such a huge variety in there - then used whatever colour inks they wanted on them. The Grungeboard takes the ink so well, and we were able to create many different effects by combining and layering colours and metallics.

Will post up some more photos soon.....
Have a great weekend!........xxx
